Slow Flow & Slow Flow Basics

Kate: Sundays, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and Kelly: Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A relaxed, slow-paced practice that begins with modified Sun Salutations, followed by an exploration of foundational standing poses and balances, and then a move to the floor for a closing sequence.  Slow Flow is suitable for beginners; in addition to the pacing, the instructor provides more cues, and avoids some of the more challenging postures and sequences such as athletic Sun Salutations and arm balances. Slow Flow Basics adds even more time for instruction and assistance.

All-Levels

Dave or Mike: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

A dynamic, flowing practice that connects movement with breath. Classes include seated and standing postures, including standing balances. Sequences vary from class to class based on students’ level of experience and both modifications and more advanced variations may be offered.  These classes are suitable for beginners.

Intermediate Vinyasa

Kate: Mondays, 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

A dynamic, flowing practice that connects movement with breath.  Classes begin with Sun Salutations and progress through sometimes challenging poses and complex sequences.  These classes are suitable for intermediate students who do not require as much instruction in foundational poses.

Yin/Yang

Kate: Tuesdays, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A practice that combines a quiet beginning with a more active core, beginning with passive (Yin) poses on the floor, often supported with yoga blocks or bolsters.  The class then comes to its feet for foundational standing postures and balances, and back to the floor for a closing sequence.  This practice is suitable for beginners as it avoids some challenging postures, variations, and pacing.

Intermediate Hatha

Kate: Thursdays, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

This practice begins with long-hold standing poses, followed by long-hold seated and reclined postures.  This practice is suitable for intermediate students who do not require as much instruction in foundational poses.

Stretch & Strengthen

Jen: Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

This practice features routines to increase strength and flexibility, without the sequences and language of a traditional yoga practice. Learn to stretch like a dancer and to use props like blocks and straps to enhance your fitness. This fun class is suitable for beginners as the movements can be modified as necessary.

Twilight Yin & Yoga Nidra

Mike: 2nd Sunday of each month

A slow-paced evening Yin practice to help build stability, mobility, and awareness by focusing gently on the body’s fascia and connective tissue. Gentle movement is followed by “yoga nidra” - a guided meditation that takes place while the student rests comfortably. The meditation is designed lead take students to “yogic sleep” for physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. This practice is suitable for beginners.
